I am a hound dog mix. I was rescued by the Horseheads Animal Shelter from a puppy mill in West Virginia, and have been living with my people Amy and Dan since 2009; it's estimated that I was born between 2007 - 2008. I was very shy at first, but I'm much more outgoing now that I have love, food, and a warm bed. But I still take a little while to warm up to unfamiliar people. I get along well with other dogs, but can get a little scared if the other dog is too pushy at first, and might bark if I'm scared. I also bark sometimes when I'm happy, in a wonderful deep hound dog howl sort of way.
