Wire-haired dachshund, "boar" color (black with brown undercoat, shoulders, feet, and mustache - when hair is longer he looks more black). Brown eyes and black nose, ~26 lbs.
Wary of strangers, may bark and run in circles to stay just out of reach. Generally does not bite, but may growl (which he does when playing too). Be patient with him and kindly call his name. If you try to pick him up, be gentle with his back and provide lots of support as he can be squirmy.
